Piano Report - July 2019

Jamie is a well behaved and polite pupil.  I can tell he loves playing the piano and coming to his lessons.  It is wonderful to have such a motivated pupil with such eagerness for music and learning new things.  He is completely focused on the task in hand and will always ask is he doesn't understand anything. His progress has been excellent with the Grade 1 syllabus so far and he has put great effort into the pieces and also his scales . He has developed a much more controlled hand position this year. Jamie’s note recognition skills are improving and he has an excellent sense of rhythm. I have no doubt he will be ready to sit this exam and pass in November if he continues to put the work in. At this stage in his studies I would expect him to practice for 5 days per week for 20 minutes per day. He performed brilliantly and with confidence at the music evening last month.

A very pleasing report for Jamie. I look forward to teaching Jamie next term.
