Knights Pottery

Following our Knights Trail yesterday I thought it might be a good idea to paint our own knights, so me and Jamie had a 'Mummy and Jamie' afternoon at  www.thelittlepotterystudio.com/   I had reserved a Knight each, but had not asked how much they would be.  £20 each!  Luckily I had my voucher still from when Santa went walkies to Ireland in December.

Knights Trail Part 1

Today we took the train for the first time into Lincoln with Ella and Elliot to start the Knights Trail around Lincoln.  See: www.knightstrail.com/

As there was a little shower just before we left the house I took my brolly but am glad to say we didn't need it.

And I was so glad we caught the train.  It was quick and cheap and we will definitely go into town that way again.

Camping....

Jamie loves camping.  However, mummy doesn't....

We put up the tent in the garden and Jamie decided he wanted to camp out.  As daddy was at a gig, mummy said she would camp out with Jamie - thinking that he wouldn't really camp out all night!
As you can see he loved it!

Unfortunately mummy's back and neck were killing by 11pm; not to mention all the noises that she kept hearing.  Jamie however, was sound asleep.  So when daddy got back mummy asked for him to do something.  Luckily he managed to lift Jamie and take him into his own bed.

"Never again" said Mummy.

Puppet Performance at Beavers

As part of one of their badges (not sure which!) we attended a puppet show at Beavers tonight.

As the photos show it was rather chaotic but they all did a great job.  It must have been quite nerve wracking standing up with the puppets in front of all the parents.  Some forgot their lines, others were making it up as they went along, but I don't think anyone didn't get a badge!!

10 Metres Badge

So proud today as Jamie has got his 10 metres badge.  As we take it in turns to watch Jamie at swimming (depending on what we are doing on the day) I might have missed it, but was glad to be able to watch him.  He is still in Stage 2 at swimming and not all of his group managed to complete the 10 metres across the pool, but Jamie did really well.

I asked his teacher when he might be ready for Stage 3.  Apparently he needs to pay more attention.....
