Body Clock...

Read a piece in the latest ASDA magazine which said; Children between the ages of 5 and 12 need 10-12 hours of sleep (National Sleep Foundation).  During the school holidays, Jamie has certainly not been having this much!  Speaking to his friends mum's on Friday, it seems Joseph and Archie are both in bed about 8am and sleep in longer than Jamie.....

Time to try to commit to a routine mummy thinks.....

Fantastic Day at Belton

During the school holidays I have tried to do something with Jamie whenever I have not been at work.  Coordinating ours and other friend holidays, we booked in this Friday almost at the start of the holidays.  We agreed that Belton House / Woods would be a good venue for a catch up and we were not disappointed - www.nationaltrust.org.uk/belton-house/ 

As the day approached, we were all a bit worried about the weather, but we all had a fantastic day and no sign of rain until we were leaving!  They all loved the adventure playground - although it seemed a bit smaller than I remembered it!   The grounds were full of little adventures, lots of trees and a few wet feet!  And the mummies even managed a cuppa and a chat in the indoor play area.

One wished for a cat, once wished to be The Great Gonzo and one put the 20p in his pocket.....

Big Foot!

Got up early and needed to be out of the house as daddy on nights this week, so decided to go and look at school shoes.  Bit of a queue, but we were seen in time to meet some of Jamie's pals in the park at 10am as agreed.

Oh dear, Jamie split up with Emily (age 13) while on Santa's Sleigh Ride at Sundown Adventure Land www.sundownadventureland.co.uk/themepark/  

Jamie had asked Emily if there were any moving 'people' on the ride and Emily had said 'No'.  Unfortunately she had lied.....

Dinosaur Adventure

 

Once again we went to Dinosaur Adventure  www.dinosauradventure.co.uk/ which was fantastic.  As Will and his family were only down the coast at Cromer, we arranged to meet them there.  The girls and Eliott came as well and with Will's sister Lucy that meant there were 6 children and 6 adults.  Once again, they all loved it!    Jamie especially loved Dippy the Dinosaur......

A Wonderful Week in Norfolk!

 

Just come back from a wonderful week in Norfolk with Daddy and Jamie and Kerry, Paul, Emily, Ella and Eliott.  Jamie had a fantastic time and even asked Emily to be his girlfriend (she is 13!).  We had a separate cottage to the other family which worked out well and we arranged to see some old friends of mine on the Sunday which was lovely, and then a couple who we all know came over on the Friday night.   This meant we weren't in each others way and had time to ourselves as a family, but when we all got together the children loved it!!
