Spring Bank Holiday!!

I'm Bored!!  So, in between the rain, we managed to get an hour (ish) at the Witham St Hughs 'Spring Fayre'.  At least we made it out of the house.

Victorian School Day

Today Jamie's school had a 'Victorian School Day', where everyone had to dress as a Victorian school child.  During the day the aim was for children to experience what school was like for children during this time.

During the day (I was told) the children took part in the 3R's - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.  They also experienced lessons like dictation and drill.  Hopefully Jamie now realises how lucky he is to be born now.

Jamie couldn't wait when he got home to tell us all about one of his classmates who had to wear a Dunces hat all morning!!
