Back to Bewilderwood!
We loved Bewilderwood www.bewilderwood.co.uk/ so much last year that this year we returned with two other families. And they loved it too.

The Poppy Line
We know what we like in Norfolk and so a day on the trains was called for!!
As usual we drove to Holt station, met Sharon, Gregg and Brandon, and went on the train to Sheringham on The Poppy Line www.nnrailway.co.uk/. At Sheringham we managed to meet Nicola and her family (which we failed to do last year!) and had a lovely afternoon on the pebble beach, eating chips, playing in the amusements and shopping (mummy!).

Davenports Magic Kingdom
On our travels around Norfolk we decided to pop in to http://davenportsmagickingdom.co.uk/ . From the outside it didn't look much (large corrugated building) but once inside it was full of magic (literally). Jamie loved it! It consists of a museum, but in addition there is a magic show and then a tour; which has more magic! As well as this, there is a café and a gift shop where Jamie bought some tricks! Highly recommended!

Another Leaving Do......
Yes, unfortunately, I have recently been made redundant from my dream job; working at my old secondary school. I wasn't the only one to go, and we were all told it was due to 'financial reasons'.
Not sure what I will do next. Once you get a job in a school - working term time - you really don't want to go back to 'full time' working.....

School Disco
There was a time when Jamie hated the school disco. I took him a couple of times and had to leave early as it was 'too loud' or Jamie was 'too tired'. However, just recently, he has decided that he loves it!!

We are Geeks!
Today we attended 'Geeks' Lincoln; mainly because there were a number of Dr Who actors going. Unfortunately Sylvester McCoy pulled out at the last minute, but the Light Sabre Academy made up for it!

Sad Day
Today was a sad day for mummy. I can't say that I saw it coming. In fact, I had asked the question a couple of times and felt that I had nothing to worry about....
Unfortunately, I did. Today I was summoned to the Headmistresses office and told that my contract was not to be renewed at work. I was more than upset. I had finally (or so I thought) found my dream job, which fitted perfectly around Jamie and being a mummy, and even better, was at my beloved secondary school; a five minute walk from our house.
I was told that it wasn't personal and that it was simply due to the money situation. It didn't make me feel any better! Another girl in our department was told the same, and I know there are more than us two, but none of this helps!
After speaking to hubby, at least I know that I can have the summer off with Jamie, and then try looking for another job that suits.

Splinter Emergency.....
Today, while at work, I got a call from Jamie's school to say could I go in?
Apparently, he had got a splinter stuck in his finger and I had to be the one to take it out!! When I got there, Jamie seemed perfectly happy - until that is, I started to pull at his finger. Jamie could not tell me where the splinter had come from but he did say that one of the TA's had tried to get it out, but it had snapped; leaving the other half in his finger. So much for only me being allowed to pull it out (and having to leave work early)!!
In the end, me and daddy gave up trying to get it out and simply put a plaster on it.

We Love Getting Wet at Wheelgate!
Today we went along with Will and Lucy to Wheelgate http://wheelgatepark.com/ which we had never been to before. The water park was definitely the best bit and it was just warm enough for the children to have a good paddle / swim / get very wet!

Annual Report Pizza Hut Treat...
Jamie got his Annual Report this week and we were so proud / happy / relieved that we took him to Toys R Us for a treat and then lunch at Pizza Hut.
