Month 33

This month your toddler will relish being able to solve problems and it is one way in which he learns new skills. For you, resisting the urge to jump in and solve the problem is the key. If your child has run out of building blocks for his tower and is getting frustrated, suggest that he needs to find something else the same shape as the blocks to complete the tower. This will give him a new challenge (shape sorting and finding) and enable him to complete the tower without help. Once completed remember to give your toddler lots of praise for building such a magnificent tower.

Relatives
Parents are still the most important things in your child’s life, but this month you will notice your toddler enjoying the company of other adults, particularly grandparents and aunts and uncles. Your child’s relatives will all bring different aspects to your child’s life. Think back to when you were small and who your favourite relative was.
