Spring Term Report - April 2019

Reading: Exceeding. (Above expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress.   To help improve he needs to continue to read at pace to be able to quickly identify key information, develop his responses to reading comprehension questions that offer sufficient detail and evidence, and develop further confidence in understanding how the author makes choices to deliberately control the readers response.

Writing: Secure. (In line with expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress.   To help improve he needs to include ; : ( ) and - in his writing, make choices about the length of sentences for effect and include complex sentences (using relative clauses and subordinating conjunctions) in all of his writing, include accurately punctuated speech that moves action forward, and make successful links (using cohesive devices) between paragraphs and organise paragraphs for impact.

Maths: Secure. (In line with expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress.   To help improve he needs to add and subtract fractions with mixed denominators, multiply a mixed number by a whole number, learn equivalents for fractions, decimals and percentages, solve problems that involve calculating simple percentages, and apply calculation skills to increasingly complex 1 or 2 step problems.
