Reading: Exceeding. (Above expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress. To help improve he needs to be able to identify small details which help to build up a character, and continue to develop his use of expression when reading loud.
Writing: Secure. (In line with expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress. To help improve he needs to use a range of subordinating conjunctions to join sentences together e.g. when, because, although (same as last time). Plus use a wide range of time connectives e.g. eventually, suddenly, and use some prepositional phrases as sentence openers e.g. in the distance.
Maths: Secure. (In line with expected standards) Your child has made Good Progress. To help improve he needs to secure his recall of facts in the 8x table, be able to recall divisional facts for the tables he knows, and be able to write the time in the 24hour format.
This time we decided against Parents Evening.
