Annual Report to Parents

Comments included:
Caring, thoughtful, enthusiastic, eager to please and quick to help, theses are just a few of the adjectives that spring to mind when I think about Jamie. Jamie always tries his best and works hard to improve and develop his learning further.

He is a good friend to lots of people within Key Stage One, often thinking of others before himself.

Over the past two years he has grown so much in confidence and often shares his views, ideas and thoughts with the rest of the class. Jamie is particularly passionate and enthusiastic about the past and also has a keen love of music.

Jamie, it has been a pleasure to teach you during the last two years, you have worked very hard and should feel really proud of your achievements.

More Hospital Visits for Mummy

This time it was 'lady problems'.  Went to the Drs as I had been bleeding. The Dr did an internal and referred me urgently to the hospital.  Before my hospital appointment however, I went to see the nurse to have some swabs done to check for possible infection.  After struggling to find my cervix she then commented she could see a polyp.

For Information: Cervical polyps are small, elongated tumors that grow on the cervix. The cervix is the narrow canal at the bottom of the uterus that extends into the vagina. Polyps are fragile structures that grow from stalks rooted on the surface of the cervix or inside of the cervical canal. If someone has polyps, usually only one polyp is present, and two or three at most. In rare cases, polyps represent an early phase of cervical cancer. Removing them helps reduce this risk. www.healthline.com/health/cervical-polyps

A week later I had a hospital appointment and was lucky that my friend agreed to come with me.  The Dr did an internal - which was very painful.  It felt like a very, very bad period pain.  I swear I could feel her inside. Awful!  Before she did this, the nurse with her asked if I wanted to hold her hand; emphasising how painful it would be.  I said I was fine.  I feel I am quite invincible after having the two spinal ops.

After the internal, the Dr said she was going to remove the polyp, and that it would be quick.  Again, the nurse asked if I wanted to hold her hand.  All was ok til I opened my eyes and looked across at the exact time when I should not have!!  The Dr had my polyp in a small pot.  I could see it all bloody and gunky, and that was it......I was on the deck (or rather I would have been if I had not been lying on the bed already!)

As I said, I was lucky my friend came with me! I did take a few days off work afterwards, as I felt very tender.  And then I had to wait for my results from the Biopsy.  This took longer than I would have liked but all was fine!!

First Aid Badge at Beavers

It was my turn to help with the drinks so I got to see them all doing their 'First Aid' Badge.  There were some rather peculiar 'Recovery Positions' but I think they were all awarded a badge in the end.  I am so glad Jamie became a Beaver.

Reggie!

After Alfie's party we had an hour left at the school Summer Fair where mummy managed to spend a small fortune in a matter of minutes!   A few days later, Jamie came out of class carrying a rather large bear, which he had won in the 'Name the Bear' competition.  Reggie!

Alfie's Trampoline Party

Can't say that Jamie loved the party.  He was disappointed that they didn't get a chance to all 'bounce together', but afterwards he got a chance to play in Fun Farm with all his pals and of course have some birthday snacks and cake!

Swimming

Finally decided it was time to send Jamie back to swimming lessons.  North Kesteven pool has reopened after having some renovation work done, see:  www.1life.co.uk/north-kesteven-district-council/one-nk/home/  The best part (for me) is that there is now a communal changing room; which makes it so much easier with a son!  So pleased we started him back as he is loving it.  So much so that, after his first lesson on the Saturday morning, we took him back on the Tuesday morning of half term for swim with the family.
