Residential Rand Farm Trip

Jamie's year are going to Rand Farm for an overnight stay next week.  See: http://randfarmpark.com/residential/

They are spending one night on the farm, taking on the role of farmers and becoming immersed in farmyard life.  They will be feeding lambs, milking cows and even cleaning out the pig sty!  They are to spend time with local experts, finding out how ice cream is made, as well as learning about the importance of bees.  Also looking at life cycles and food chains.

All of this hard work is broken up with regular visits to the play barn and extensive outdoor play area.  Children will be in single sex rooms sleeping up to 8 children in bunk beds with an adjacent adult room.  Cost £70; includes transport to and from the farm, all food and drink over the two days, accommodation, activities run by experienced professionals, supervision and insurance.

Jamie is very excited.  Mummy feels a little strange....
