2014 started off with trip to A&E after Daddy got
worried about a photograph that seemed to show something wrong with Jamie’s eye. All was fine, but Jamie was advised to wear
glasses most of the time. Thankfully his
squint is getting better and only really noticeable when he is tired.
Jamie lost his first tooth towards the end of the year. Still waiting for the second....
We bought Jamie a bunk bed.
As yet, he has not grasped the concept that it is for something other than
Sleepovers with cousin Noah. Cousin Noah
gained a little brother; Seth James and we had a lovely Christening in December.
2014 brought new pets into the house; starting with Nev (the
cat) in January and then adding Stella and Katie (the Chickens) in June.
Jamie had a full year, what with visits from Lucy, loads of
play dates, going to the many parks around here, visits to Sundown, Belton
House and Fun farm as well as his first school trip and first Sports day. Not to
mention going to the Cinema, party invitations – including a Pirate Party for
Jamie 5th birthday and the usual Halloween Party (it gets better
every year!) - trips to Mablethorpe and Skegness after his hospital visits, camping
with cousin Noah and Seth at Woodhall (daddy not keen) and a week away in
Norfolk at Blackbird Cottage with ‘the girls’ when he told Emily (age 13) she
was his girlfriend! We even managed to
fit in a playdate while on holiday at Dinosaurland with Will and Lucy.
Christmas was the usual jam packed, wonderful experience;
including organising a party for everyone to which even Santa came. And don’t forget Arty Pots, The Bauble Barn, Tinsel and Tea
Towels, Sundown and lots of presents!!
After 9 months at SHE, mummy was made redundant in April,
but was only out of work for 11 weeks before she found another job in July. 2015 finds her with another new job, but this
time out of choice!
Mummy did intend to lose some weight, but unfortunately it was
not meant to be. While unemployed she did
manage some walking with Kate on a Wednesday morning but never seemed to find
the gym or make it to any classes other than a couple of weeks at Pilates which
had to be cut short due to work! We
shall try and forget mummy’s attempt at Pole fitness which lasted 2 weeks and
for which she is still feeling the pain!
Mummy struggled this year with back and neck pain as well as
the arm pain she is still suffering from thinking she could pole dance! She also saw herself being diagnosed as having low oestrogen and therefore
possibly starting the menopause.....For a while she took Oestrogen gel to try
and alleviate the symptoms but found that she felt just as bad while using the
gel. Currently feeling a lot better.
Mummy managed to remain Sober
for October and raised £85 for
Macmillan Cancer Support https://gosober.org.uk/profile/joanneborrill
All in all, a lot to be proud of in 2014. Lots of family time and a very happy Jamie xx
