Autumn Term Report Card - December 2019

Reading: Exceeding. (Aiming to achieve beyond the expected standard by the end of the key stage).   To help improve he needs to continue to read at pace to be able to quickly identify key information; develop his responses to reading comprehension questions that offer sufficient detail and evidence; and develop further confidence in understanding how the author makes choices to deliberately control the readers response.
Writing: Secure. (Likely to achieve the expected standard by the end of the key stage).  To help improve he needs to make choices about the length of sentences for effect and include complex sentences (using relative clauses and subordinating conjunctions) in all of his writing, include accurately punctuated speech that moves action forward, and make successful links between paragraphs and organise paragraphs for impact.

Maths: Secure. (Likely to achieve the expected standard by the end of the key stage).   To help improve he needs to add and subtract fractions with mixed denominators, solve simple problems using algebraic formula, and apply calculation skills to increasingly complex 1 or 2 step problems.
