Family Day Out

Today we decided to have a family day out as it was a Discover   Lincolnshire weekend, which meant a lot of places were free.  We went to Gainsborough Old Hall; a place which none of us had been to before.  See: www.gainsborougholdhall.com/  

Other than the Hall being a bit cold, we had a fantastic day.  Jamie (and Star Bear) made a Tudor Rose in the crafts area and had a brilliant time looking for the 'Grey Lady' (the ghost).  And mummy's leg just about held out - although she did feel like an old lady herself towards the end!

Had a fantastic party to celebrate Isabel's 6th birthday.  She is a Year 1 but Jamie's reading partner.  

Star Bear

So proud this weekend as Jamie got Star Bear and Head Teachers Award for his Book Report on Pirates Love Underpants (see World Book day).

 

I miss my Baby

Jamie is out on his first school trip tonight.

Jamie missed Mothers Day celebrations as he was coughing so much, but I sent him with his cough medicines and a big kiss!!

What is good is that the teachers who were on the trip put lots of photos on twitter.......

Unfortunately, Jamie had a terrible cough and, with his school trip coming up tomorrow, I decided that we would not go out to meet Nana B and Jamies' cousins, I didn't want to risk him getting worse,   So, it was a day of watching Dr Who Christmas specials in bed - perfect!

Share a Story

To celebrate Poetry week, adults were encouraged to 'Share a Story' with their child at the end of the school day.  I took in a number of Jamie's favourite books; including Cats Ahoy, which you can see me listening to Jamie read it in the photo above.  (We are sat next to Alfie and his Nana).
