"I Can Do It On my Own, Mummy"

Jamie has always told me when he wants to go to the toilet for a wee in the morning.  I usually go along with him, lift the toilet seat and wait until he finishes - watching him 'shake, shake', or helping him wipe and wash his hands.

This morning he announced he wanted a 'wee, wee', but that he could do it himself.

I don't know whether to be happy or cry!!

Happy Birthday Elliot

Went to a lovely birthday party today for Elliot today - who was 2.  Jamie and Elliot were the only boys there, but that didn't seem to matter.  Elliot loves his new friend Indie who he met at the Christmas party, and Jamie made a new friend (cause he told me) called Millie.

Jamie's run-in with the police

While we were in The Cotswolds, Jamie and Lucy had a balance bike and a scooter to ride on around the streets and in the park.   On our way back to the car (after some lovely shopping), we came face to face with a (very nice) policeman.  He stopped and spoke to Jamie, who seemed rather shocked.

"It's a balance bike", was all Jamie would say, before cycling off into the sunset.....

Happy Birthday Lucy!

She looked so sweet as she placed her hands around his neck. "But I only wanted to give him a cuddle", was her defence.

Cousin Lucy was four on Valentines Day - where has the time gone?  So, armed with lots of paracetamols and cough medicine we headed off down the M5 for the weekend.  Although it started off cold, we had a glorious day on the Sunday when we visited Broadway in the Cotswolds!   Had a lovely picnic while Lucy and Jamie played in the park.  Truly a tonic after all the coughs and colds we have been suffering with!!

Full of it!!

As is usual about this time of year, we were all struck down with cold.  Mummy was so bad she ended up having to have two weeks off work as the Dr signed her off!

Jamie had his usual cough, mixed with a streaming, snotty nose and even daddy had to ring in sick a couple of days.

We have all felt truly miserable!!

Hospital Appointment - Year 3

Although both mummy and daddy were struggling with colds, we made sure that Jamie was at clinic 8 for his yearly check on his squint.

All went well, Jamie was a little gem; looking at all the cards and pictures, and answering all the questions as they were asked.  The lady said he had perfect vision, but we are still to return in a years time.

The only downside to the morning was leaving Gerald the Giraffe behind.  Daddy and Jamie went back to look for him, but it took mummy to go back and find him - exactly where she had told daddy and Jamie to look!!
