Moon Zoom!

To launch Jamie's class' new topic 'Moon Zoom!' their class had a mobile planetarium visit them.  This is a self contained darkened classroom; allowing children to learn all about space in a fantastic, fun and educational environment (it says here). 

 

As Jamie has been keen on Dr Who (getting lots of Dr Who goodies for Christmas) he was very excited and when he came home he told us all about the planets that he had seen; especially Venus and Mars!

Tummy Ache Tuesday is Back!!

Since last term, Jamie has been suffering from what has become known as 'Tummy Ache Tuesday.'  Jamie has PE on a Tuesday.......  The first week of term he didn't suffer, but this morning, once he had woken up (after his milk) he started to say he had a 'Tummy Ache'.  I reminded him that it was  MOON ZOOM and if he didn't go to school he would miss that......

As it turned out, they didn't have PE!

"It's quiet" said Custard. "Too quiet" said Roobarb.....

I can guarantee it won't be at Nana's.   Jamie on a sleepover with Noah....

Winning Interview Answer....

Well, I got the job.  I really didn't think I had done enough during the practical exercises.  I woke up in the night and realised that although I had made mine pretty, I had completely forgot to do the Excel formulas....

However, that didn't seem to matter.  I think the answer that did is was:

Question:  How do you deal with Interruptions?

Answer: I have a 5 year old.  I am used to interruptions.

Being a mother has its own set of transferable qualifications....

Another New Job?

Yes!  Its all happened very quickly, but I have finally landed every mummy's dream job - term time only!

I started this week; the day before Jamie went back (Training Day).  I am working at a local secondary school in the Student Services Department.  Initially it is for 6 months until end of the summer term.  Here's hoping...
